FAQ: Selection & Installation

1. How to identify the correct Final Drive?
Send us a photo of the nameplate on your old unit and a photo of the mounting pattern (sprocket bolts and frame bolts). The machine's serial number is also important.

2. Do I need to add oil?
Yes! Units are shipped "dry" (without oil). You must fill the gearbox with gear oil to the required level before operation.

Mechanic's Guide: Maintenance Tips

Useful information to extend the life of your unit.

1. Oil Change Intervals:
Check oil level every 250 hours. Full change every 1000 hours or once a year.

2. Which oil to use?
High-quality Gear Oil. Standard for moderate climates is SAE 80W-90 (GL-4/GL-5). Always refer to your machine's Operation & Maintenance Manual.

3. Signs of failure:
Unusual noise/grinding, one track moving slower than the other, oil leakage from the sprocket area (floating seal).

4. Metal shavings:
If large metal fragments are found on the magnetic plug, it indicates bearing or gear failure. Immediate repair or replacement is required.
